I just wanted to take a brief moment to come back from my hiatus and let you know what’s been going on. The short answer – a whole lot. The long answer, resigning a lease, getting a new job, taking a trip to Colorado, becoming a Maid of Honor, planning my high school’s [5 year] reunion, working my first CMA Awards at (said) new job, hosting family in town, hosting boyfriend’s family in town and writing to you.
As I’m sure you can imagine, it’s been hard to keep things consistent the past few weeks. I pretty much have an empty fridge, a closet full of dirty clothes and a trunk of my car that looks I’ve been living out of it for a while (okay you caught me, I kind of have). One thing I have kept up with though, is the “face massage challenge.” It’s something I briefly saw on YouTube and I thought I’d try it for a couple of weeks (pictured above). I think it sort of peaked at the end of the fourth week (first month), but I still loved the results either way!
Every day for five weeks I massaged my face for anywhere from five to fifteen minutes with WHISH facial cleanser. I did this pre-shower so that I could just wash it all off at once and kill two birds with one stone. At the end of each week, I took a picture and was amazed at how dramatically clear my skin was on it’s own without any makeup (yes, so be kind). I even had some extra coloring on my cheeks every morning than the usual pale/tired thing I have going on.
At the very least, this is an amazing way to relax and treat yourself a bit – even if it is for five minutes a day.
