Maddy Newton – What Am I To You

My girl Maddy Newton is a serious force to be reckoned with. You might remember her Across the Table feature with me a while back where I interviewed her about her single at the time (“Kiss You Yesterday”), her YouTube channel & venture into travel vlogging. Since then, with Nashville being the biggest small town there is, Maddy and I have kept in touch and somehow never run into each other getting coffee (weird – I know).

That’s why I was so excited when she texted me about new music coming out. Maddy’s new song, “What Am I To You” is the definition of a bop. Pulling through elements of modern day pop with the production and vocal stylization similar to Taylor Swift, I challenge you to not sing-along by the time the second chorus comes in.

Maddy challenges the blurred lines of modern-day romance with this song and it’s a breath of fresh air to see a female in this industry speaking out so bluntly about her frustration with “casual culture.”

BEFORE YOU GO (and share this song with all of your friends because you’re obsessed and already know every word)… we knew we wanted to do something cool pairing both of our brands together for this release so I’m excited to announce exclusively on #LivewellsLatest (shameless plug) what we came up with!

During Maddy’s single announcement photoshoot, she snapped a series of super cool polaroids – peep the pic below – and we knew they’d be even cooler if they came to you personally from her, so here’s what you have to do…

1). Follow @MaddyNewton on Instagram (I mean, I even linked it so I can’t make it much easier for you)

2). Post a photo/video to your Instagram feed or story listening to “What Am I To You”

3). Tag @MaddyNewton AND USE #WhatAmIToYouMN to enter

Then you wait… and Maddy will choose her favorite reaction to the song, customize the super dope polaroids and send them your way!

Happy listening. Happy Friday. Really just enjoy the new music & be happy, friends ❤️ ✌🏼
