mood beaters: nostalgic

All of this rain in Nashville is getting pretty much everyone in their feels… HARD. There’s something about the gray skies & water drops on every window that make you think and take the lyrics of every song you listen to a little more to heart. You know how they say if you have a song stuck in your head and then you listen to it, it goes away? Well that’s what this month’s “mood beaters” playlist is striving to do for the feeling of nostalgia. mood beaters_ nostalgic

Being nostalgic isn’t a bad thing. Actually, most of the time I love the feeling. But it’s been weighing heavy on me lately and I needed to get it out in the form of a playlist. There’s something about realizing I’m going to be 26 soon, planning my wedding & living away from home that’s making the feeling of coming home from school to a warm plate of brownies that Mom made and binge watching Gilmore Girls, come back strong.

This playlist brings back memories of high school, moving to college, feelings of loss when your grandparent & your best friend leaves this earth, meeting a boy who you can picture as the man you want to marry & what that amazing feeling of “about to start a life together” brings with it (COUNTRY EDITION).

Here’s some memories I flipped through while I was curating this playlist. I hope this playlist makes you want to find a great Flashback Friday to post today. I hope it gives you some butterflies in your stomach and makes you call a family member to tell them how much you love them, or a text a best friend to let them know that even if you don’t see them everyday, they’re always on your mind.
